ABOUT CYC

The California Yacht Club is among the premier yachting facilities in the world. Founded in 1922, the original clubhouse was located in Wilmington Harbor. The current Marina del Rey facility was constructed in 1967. Our private station on Catalina Island is located in sheltered Catalina harbor on the west side of the island 32.7 miles southwest of Marina del Rey.

CYC’s 1200 members also enjoy the pool and paddle tennis facilities as well as the beautiful dining room with a 180 degree view of Marina del Rey. Fine dining and great wines are celebrated by the Epicurean and Wine Appreciation Societies. The Women’s Association provides hospitality for club events, and organizes the annual Commodore’s Ball. CYC has something for everyone from bridge and book clubs, to dinner and dancing, to yacht racing and competitive rowing, to amateur radio and cruising.
