Adult Sailing
CYC provides a haven for sailing enthusiasts to embark on unforgettable journeys. Whether you are a seasoned sailor or a novice eager to learn the ropes, our club offers a range of programs and events catering to all skill levels. Primary among our offerings are:
- A robust regatta program supported by best-in-class race management
- A fleet of club-owned keelboats to help our members get out on the water to enjoy the Pacific Ocean
- Adult learn-to-sail courses (at a discounted rate for members) to help prepare you to sail the club’s keelboats and more
ADULT LEARN TO SAIL COURSE
- Group lessons are offered on a rolling basis on five consecutive Sundays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a total of 15 hours of instruction
- $850 per person for CYC members
- $1050 per person for non-CYC members.
While the Adult lear-to-sail course is a great way to make new friends who are ready to sail on Santa Monica Bay, if you’d like to learn in a more intimate setting, we also have private lessons available (duration: 3 hours):
- 1 person: $250
- 2 people: $450
- 3 people: $600
- 4 people: $700
KEELBOAT PROGRAM
Once you’ve mastered the basics in the learn to sail course, you’re ready to join the keelboat program and get 15 sails per year on the club's own fleet, plus the opportunity for additional charters for races (or just for fun).
