Whether you are an experienced sailor or just beginning your journey, California Yacht Club offers multiple pathways to get out on the water. From structured courses to casual day sails and member-only keelboat usage, our Adult Sailing programs are built to develop confidence, expand knowledge, and deepen connection within the CYC sailing community.
There are many ways for members to engage with sailing at CYC, no matter their experience level. Programs range from casual, social sails to formal instruction and regular access to Club boats. Each option is designed to encourage confidence, connection, and time on the water.
Daysail Program
Join fellow members on privately hosted boats for relaxed, social sails on Santa Monica Bay. No boat ownership required.
Learn to Sail Courses
A structured curriculum designed for new or emerging sailors who want to build fundamentals and earn keelboat access.
Keelboat Program
After completing the Learn to Sail course or demonstrating proficiency, members can sail our fleet regularly throughout the year.
