Head of the Marina Regatta
California Yacht Club hosts the Head of the Marina Regatta, the first Sunday of November each year. The regatta is a 5,000-meter rowing ‘head style’ race held within the Marina del Rey harbor and entrance channel. Many spectators congregate at Burton Chace Park to watch. Head races, which originated in Britain, typically take place in the Fall and are run as time trial events.
