At California Yacht Club, pickleball and paddle tennis are more than sports—they’re active communities where members connect, compete, and unwind. With refreshed courts, LED lighting, organized play, and memorable social gatherings, racquet sports are one of the most vibrant parts of Club life.

Whether you’re picking up a paddle for the first time or joining long-time players, you’ll find a place on the courts. Members enjoy weekly open play, tournaments, coaching clinics, and friendly matches, followed by great post-play dining and socializing at P130. Explore each offering below and get started:

Pickle Ball Coach

In 2019, I was introduced to pickleball, and I immediately fell in love with the game. After just a few months I was able to teach others how to play and improve their game.

You can call me Pickleball Ho. I call my style of playing and teaching "Tai Chi Pickleball.” When you play in this style, your entire body is engaged, helping you play calmly and controlled. I help players learn how to "feel it in their body" to truly improve their skills and game.

I have introduced hundreds and thousands of people to this sport and helped them develop their skills. I love bringing people together through Pickleball to build fun, engaging, and strong communities.

I am a PPR Certified Pickleball Instructor and became a USA Pickleball Ambassador for Santa Monica in 2021. I’m the founder of the Santa Monica Pickleball Club, a nonprofit that provides free and low-cost opportunities for the community to play pickleball. I'm the head instructor for the Santa Monica Pickleball Club. I helped launch the Santa Monica Pickleball Center in January 2023. I also consulted for Pickle Pop in launching their Pickleball facility on 3rd Street Promenade in 2023.

I am an Ambassador for USA Pickleball, InPickleball, Acacia Pickleball Shoes, and Bread & Butter Pickleball Paddles.
